The Shift Supervisor in the ER is critical to proper and smooth functioning in a hectic environment. The Supervisor assesses personnel needs and delegates staff to attend to areas in the trauma department. During shifts, they ensure all team members are wearing appropriate gear, control traffic in the emergency department, and make sure patient privacy is maintained.
